About

I am a Civil Engineer with practical experience across road construction, land servicing infrastructure, grade-separated intersections, engineering measurement, site inspection, quality assurance, and contract administration. Throughout my career, I have contributed to projects including the Motopi–Makalamabedi Road Construction Project, the Mmopane Block 1 Design and Build of Full Land Servicing Infrastructure Project, and the Design, Build, and Transfer of Three Grade-Separated Intersections at the Intersections of KT Motsete Drive with Lobatse Road, Willie Seboni Road and Kudumatse Drive. My earlier roles provided me with hands-on experience in construction monitoring, site inspections, quality control, roadworks, earthworks, drainage structures, utility infrastructure, technical reporting, and coordination with contractors and project teams. Transitioning into my first role as a Measurement Engineer was a significant step in my professional development. It broadened my experience beyond site-based construction activities and strengthened my technical and commercial understanding of project delivery through quantity measurement, valuations, Interim Payment Certificates, contractor claims, BOQs, variations, and contract administration. The role significantly strengthened my technical competency and professional confidence, while demonstrating to me that I am capable of taking on unfamiliar challenges, adapting quickly, and approaching new areas of responsibility with confidence. I also developed a genuine appreciation for the analytical and practical aspects of measurement engineering, which I found both engaging and rewarding. As an emerging young professional, I am open to continuous learning and committed to broadening my technical knowledge, project coordination capabilities, and project management skills. I am eager to take on new challenges, learn from experienced professionals, and continue developing into a well-rounded Civil Engineer.

Work experience

I am a growth-oriented Civil Engineering graduate with practical experience in highway construction, grade-separated intersections, land servicing infrastructure, engineering measurement, site inspection, construction monitoring, contract administration, and quality assurance. Through my involvement in major civil engineering projects, I have developed a solid technical foundation in interpreting engineering drawings, monitoring construction progress, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and FIDIC contract requirements, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. I am committed to continuous learning, professional excellence, and developing the technical competence, engineering judgment, and ethical standards required to become a Professional Civil Engineer. I look forward to contributing to and growing through the Aquaview Professional Development Institution’s IPD Programme.
