Initial Professional Development

A structured programme for engineering graduates working toward formal professional registration.

About This Programme

The Initial Professional Development (IPD) programme is designed for engineering graduates who are in the early stages of their careers and working toward professional registration. It provides a structured framework for acquiring, demonstrating and recording the competencies required by professional engineering bodies. Participants are guided through workplace-based learning, mentored by registered professional engineers, and required to document their growing competence across technical and professional dimensions. The programme follows internationally recognised professional development standards.
