Three things to check before you sign a setting-out sheet
The signature is the cheap part. The rework is not.
Check the drawing revision against the one on site, not against the one on your laptop. Revisions travel by email; site copies travel by whoever was there last.
Check your control. A benchmark that has been driven past by a grader for three weeks is a benchmark worth re-verifying before you set anything out from it.
Check the datum. Mixing a local site datum with a national one is the kind of error that survives every subsequent check, because everything downstream of it is internally consistent.
None of this takes more than twenty minutes. All of it is cheaper than a concrete pour at the wrong level.
